Awarded 'Emerging Artist 2009' by DADA (Deaf and Disability Arts), Carrie's work is a mixture of photography, digital art, painting and ceramics/sculpture.

I have been awarded the DADA 2009 Emerging Artist Award sponsored by Breakthrough UK.  I was shortlisted for the award before public voting won me the honour of accepting the great award at this years DADA Award Ceremony at Liverpool's Hilton on 3rd December.

Winning the award is a great honour and acheivement and I envisage it will lead to further recognition as an artist. 

Thanks for your support and to everyone who voted for me. 

I am keen to use this acheivment to take a step forward in developing my work and becoming more involved in Arts Projects and opportunities.

I will be spending the next few weeks exploring new styles and looking for new stimuli and inspirations to create new styles of Art.
